Opportunities From: City of Camas

 

Our Teen Library Council (TLC) provides teens ages 14-17 with the opportunity to make a positive difference in our community and have input in the way the Library serves teens. TLC usually meets the second Tuesday of every month from 4:30-5:30 p.m, except for in October when we will be working on a special project. 

 
What We Do:  Promote and help out at youth programs. Give back to the community through outreach projects. Create content for the Library's social media channels such as recommendations, reviews, playlists, and quizzes. Provide input for what programs teens need from the Library.  
What You Gain:  Volunteer credit Skills and experience (this looks great on a college or job application!) New friends The chance to have a positive impact on your community.
Requirements & Commitment  14 to 17 years of age An e-mail address that you check regularly Attend the monthly meetings Sign up to assist in running Library events Spread the word about teen programs happening at the Library

If you are interested in becoming a TLC member: Click the blue "Respond" button. Make an account if you don't already have one. Fill out the pop-up two-question application. Submit your answers. You will receive emails notifying you if your answers are accepted, and then you may sign up for meetings.

We are looking for volunteers to perform in our Haunted Library's Spider Room/ Creepy Stairwell. You will need to be able to provide your own costumes and makeup.

We will need:

Volunteers in the Spider Room to wear all black Volunteers in the Creepy Stairwell to be comfortable performing jump scares.
