2025 Summer Reading Program

Are you a teen ages 14-17 who loves reading and working with kids?

Sign up to be a Summer Reading Program volunteer!

Volunteers will:

• Sit at the SRP table to register and give prizes to kids and teens who have completed the program.

Volunteers must:

• Be able to quickly learn our computer program.
• Have an email address that is checked regularly.
• Attend at least one training on either Monday, June 16 at 4:30-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 17 at 4:30-5:30 p.m., Saturday, June 21 at 3 p.m. - 4 p.m., or Thursday July 10 at 1:30-2:30 p.m.
• Enjoy talking to kids.
• Be punctual and friendly.
• Love reading!

Commitment:

• Complete the online application by June 16. (Shifts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.)
• Attend at least one training on either Monday, June 16 at 4:30-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 17 at 4:30-5:30 p.m., Saturday, June 21 at 3 p.m. - 4 p.m., or Thursday July 10 at 1:30-2:30 p.m. upstairs in the Library's community rooms.                                                 If you don't attend a training you will not be able to volunteer.
• We recommend signing up for 2 shifts per week (shifts are 2 hours each).

When:

• Shifts are available June 23 - August 23
• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10 A.M. - 2 P.M.
• Wednesdays 2 P.M. - 6 P.M.
• Saturdays 10 A.M. - 6 P.M.

If you are interested in becoming a 2025 Summer Reading Program volunteer:

1. Click the blue "Respond" button.
2. Make an account if you don't already have one.
3. Fill out the pop-up five-question application.
4. Submit your answers.
5. You will receive emails notifying you if your answers are accepted, and then you may pick your shifts.
